Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager - River Ship & Newbuild Delivery of Applications to oversee the delivery of guest- and crew-facing software for multiple river-cruise vessels under construction in Finland, France, and other shipyard locations to be determined. This position will be contract, and onsite in Miramar, Florida, with significant international travel ( 90–100% annually).

Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, only US Citizens and Green Card Holders/Permanent residents will be considered for this role. Candidates must be able to work directly on CAI's W2.

What You’ll Do

Own end-to-end delivery of application portfolios across several concurrent vessels, from requirements through acceptance and hand-over

Establish and maintain project scope, schedules, budgets, and risk registers; provide clear, data-driven status reporting to executive and client stakeholders

Develop and enforce project governance, standards, and KPIs in alignment with corporate PMO and client guidelines

Serve as Scrum Master for multiple agile teams, lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives

Coach product owners, developers, and business partners on agile best practices; ensure adherence to agreed processes and continuous improvement

Identify, track, and remove impediments; safeguard team focus and productivity

Build strong relationships with client leadership, product owners, vendors, and shipyard partners; manage expectations and negotiate trade-offs

Schedule and facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, briefing materials, and formal minutes

Provide timely escalation of issues requiring senior management awareness or decision

Validate deliverables against contractual and regulatory requirements; drive corrective actions where necessary

Support cross-departmental initiatives and help standardize project practices for future newbuild programs

Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining a 3–4-month on-site presence at international shipyards for each assignment and remaining flexible to relocate globally as schedules shift

What You'll Need

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field – or equivalent combination of education and experience

5–7+ years of progressive project-management experience delivering complex, multi-site technology projects

At least 1 year of hands-on Scrum Master experience leading software-development teams

Current certification: PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or PSM

Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting schedule, budget, and quality targets

Strong stakeholder-management, negotiation, and verbal/written communication skills

Self-motivated and able to work independently in multicultural, fast-paced environments

Valid passport and ability to travel internationally for extended periods ( 90–100% annually)

Preferred:

Familiarity with shipboard systems, IoT integration, or hospitality technology

Prior shipboard or cruise-industry experience

Physical Demands

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

The pay range for this position is $58.00- $63.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law.
