Position Overview
The Department of Physics, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar for the Farinacci Family Postdoctoral Fellowship in Quantum Information Science and Engineering (QISE).
This prestigious fellowship is hosted by the Center for Quantum Information Science and Engineering (CQISE) at The Ohio State University. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a record of excellence in one or more core areas of quantum information, such as quantum computing, quantum algorithms, quantum simulation, quantum networks, or quantum sensing, from either a theoretical or experimental perspective.
Under the mentorship of CQISE-affiliated faculty members (see quantum.osu.edu/faculty), the postdoctoral fellow will engage in innovative, collaborative research to strengthen the university's growing quantum ecosystem.
Minimum Education Required:
Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
Required Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in quantum information science research, either theoretical or experimental.
• Strong collaborative skills and a demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
Additional Information:
This appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal based on performance and availability of funds. The fellowship offers a competitive salary and research support.

The Center for Quantum Information Science and Engineering (CQISE) is a university-wide research center that supports and advances Ohio State’s multidisciplinary quantum information science enterprise. With over 45 affiliated faculty across six departments and strong partnerships with industry and national labs, CQISE fosters collaborations to advance fundamental quantum science, develop applications with quantum advantage, and train the next generation of quantum scientists.
