Quality Inspector/Technician

Shift: 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect incoming materials, in-process items, and final products to confirm they meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Interpret inspection guidelines, work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine the correct inspection methods for product acceptance.

Provide technical feedback to engineering teams regarding discrepancies and potential improvements.

Accept or reject parts based on inspection results and document findings in accordance with Quality Management System procedures.

Must be proficient in using basic measurement tools, such as Micrometers, Calipers, and Height Gauges. Experience operating automated inspection equipment, such as a CMM or Faro Arm, is preferred.

Willingness to work overtime when needed to meet production demands.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Experience in completing First Article Inspections in AS9102 format.

Capable of conducting Root Cause Analysis for both internal and external non-conformances.

Willingness to train other team members as needed.

Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):

High School diploma or GED.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Ability to communicate professionally and objectively, both in writing and verbally, across all levels of the organization.

Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on workload demands.

At least 1 year of experience in precision manufacturing; experience with sheet metal, welding, and machining fabrication is preferred.

Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and blueprints, with a working knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5M-2009) principles being a plus.

Basic understanding of shop mathematics, with a willingness to learn geometric propositions and trigonometric functions. Knowledge of sheet metal flat pattern development is a plus.

Familiarity with statistical sampling plans such as ANSI Z1.4 and C=0.

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100, is preferred.

Forklift certification is a plus.Company Description
