Description:
The Internal Quality Control Inspector will provide quality control and assurance throughout all phases of the production process beginning with raw materials and ending with the final product. This role will interact daily across the entire organizational team for lay out checks, fit up checks, weld checks, assembly checks, paint checks, and even checks associated with documentation at the end of production. This team member will be an additional QC inspector on the floor at the Greeley Facility and expanding the organizational capacity for inspection activity. Attention to detail and personability is critical to the success of the individual in this role, as well as strong interpersonal skill and appropriate communication. Rate of Pay – *$23.00 to $32.00/hr
L&L Fabrication is an ASME Code vessel shop Holding U and R stamps. We offer ASME-coded work built to spec, along with repairs and maintenance on used pressure-rated equipment.

Expected Roles/Responsibilities:
Performs assigned, routine visual inspections and other specified tests/checks on raw materials, goods in process, and finished products.
Tests, inspects, and approves raw materials based on established quality specifications.
Uses observation and testing to identify faults in materials and manufactured goods in or out of the process.
Maintains awareness and practices duties in alignment with Quality Control Manual.
Compares results of inspections and tests to company's quality standards; reports results to supervisor for final analysis and action steps.
Maintains and posts logs, charts, and forms detailing in progress work per QCM standards or other expressed expectation from supervisor.
Consults with supervisor to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies for questionable products or situations.
Maintains quality records and documentation as needed.
Takes OWNERSHIP of the quality on the production floor and aids in a culture of OWNERSHIP and ACCOUNTABILITY.
Communicate in a professional manner.
Acts as a support role for Shipping and Receiving when business needs require.
Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements:
Requirements for the Role:
Ability to read a tape measure within 1/16th of an inch.
Ability to utilize Mechanical and Electronic Tools/Gauges (Weld Fillet Gauge, Bridge CAM Gauge, Caliper, UT Meter, and other tools or gauges as required)
Attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.
Ability to communicate expectations effectively and appropriately to varying personalities.
Familiarity with ASME Section 8 and Section 9 welding code, or willingness to expand knowledge.
An appreciation for the Manufacturing and Fabrication process.
Preferred Experience
Pressure Vessel Fabrication
ASME Section 8 Div I/II and ASME Section IX experience or familiarity
Customer Specification Interpretation
Code Book Interpretation
Problem Solving in a Production Environment
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Occasionally, you will be required to lift up to 50 pounds at one time.
Rarely and typically a team lift may be requested to assist in lifting 100 or more pounds at one time.
Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate testing equipment or gauges.
Must have accurate visual acuity or the use of corrective lenses.
Crouching, Squatting, Crawling, be able to move/navigate across narrow pathways to safely inspect unique inspection points.
Must be able to work in tight spaces (16” ID Openings) and operate measuring/verification equipment.
