Job Description
TCS is searching for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator / Cyber Engineer to support our Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) customer in Huntsville, AL. The GMD program is a portion of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) system to protect the US and our allies from ballistic missile attack.
Responsibilities:
Support infrastructure systems on Red Hat Linux (RHEL)-based platforms
Support and maintain high availability, distributed, multi-clustered server infrastructure and systems
Responsible for server infrastructure analysis, optimization, and capacity planning
Accountable for system administration, identity and authentication, information system security accreditation, data storage and backup, physical infrastructure maintenance, and automation development
Technical writing/creation of formal documentation such as architecture diagrams, technical designs, and SOPs
Required:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or other related field, and at least eight (8) years of experience (with six (6) years of related, specialized technical experience)
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Master’s Degree may be substituted for 2 years of general work experience.
Must have a working knowledge of:
Active Directory
Multi-factor authentication
DoD STIG implementation
Understanding of NIST 800 series publications and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance
Desired:
VMWare vSphere 7 experience
Cisco Networking
Dell Server, and SAN Storage hardware experience
Familiarity with system accreditation and authorization
Experience evaluating, documenting, and managing NIST 800-53 control implementations
Experience with GRC tools (RiskVision, Xacta, and JCAM)
Preferred Certifications:
Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
VMware Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
