IT Manufcaturing Systems Architect

Overview:

We're looking for a skilled IT Manufacturing Systems Architect to lead the design and implementation of IT architecture across manufacturing environments. This role plays a vital part in shaping digital transformation strategies and driving innovation through scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Systems Integration:

Develop and manage end-to-end IT architecture for manufacturing operations, including IT/OT systems, infrastructure, and enterprise integration.

Innovation & Digital Manufacturing:

Drive digital manufacturing initiatives such as IIoT, Industry 4.0, and AI/ML, including proof-of-concept development and technology evaluation.

Strategy Alignment:

Collaborate with enterprise architects and leadership to align manufacturing IT with organizational strategy and future-state vision.

Governance & Stakeholder Management:

Lead governance efforts across cross-functional IT initiatives and resolve architectural challenges across projects.Required Skills & Experience:

7+ years in Manufacturing IT Architecture, 10+ years in manufacturing systems

5+ years working with SCADA and PLC platforms

Strong background in IT-OT integration, cybersecurity, and IIoT

Experience connecting MES and ERP systems

Familiar with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)

Confident presenting to executives and building business cases

Skilled in modernization, cloud (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
