Job Description

Commitment and Career Growth * Comprehensive Benefits * Work-Life Balance * Community

At Nordic Ware we have a passion for creating innovative, high quality, American-made kitchenware. We benefit from a collaborative, connected, value-driven culture. For 75+ years our products have enhanced food preparation and brought people together at tables around the world. Our employees take pride in the products we make, and many choose a lifetime career here. Come join us!

As a Process Engineer, you'll play a critical role in shaping how we create our iconic, high-quality kitchenware. If you are a self-motivated, energetic go-getter, who gets excited by identifying opportunities for improvement and helping to enact change, this is the role for you. You will determine baseline capabilities of machinery and processes throughout our factory, and work to increase efficiency and ROI for each of your projects. You'll work cross-functionally in a dynamic, hands-on environment, analyzing data and making real improvements.

What you will get to do:

Map each assigned process, identify key input & output variables, and baseline current capability (Cp/Cpk).

Design experiments and sampling plans.

Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to determine variable impact, establish control limits, and flag leading indicators.

Translate findings into realistic product specs, tolerances, and work instructions that operators can live with.

Collaborate with QA to embed specs into our ERP & documentation systems.

Lead Kaizen and Six Sigma projects to reduce scrap, cycle time, energy use, and ergonomic risk.

Track and report return on investment (ROI) for each project.

Assist with new tooling trials; define machine settings & PM checkpoints that lock in capability from day one.

Integrate new software and hardware technologies into manufacturing to support production team members and improve efficiency.

Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Product Design & Development, and Tool Room departments daily.

Train operators and technicians on new standards and control plans.

Use your strong communication skills to simplify technical language and processes to be understood by non-technical audiences.

What you'll bring to the role:

Bachelor's in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.

2+ years in a high-volume manufacturing environment

Exposure to at least one of our core processes (metal forming, plastics molding, or coatings) preferred.

Proven skill in statistical analysis (SPC, DOE, regression) and data acquisition.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, problem solving and analytical skills.

Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar CI methodologies.

Proficiency with CAD for tooling or fixture layouts-SolidWorks, AutoCAD; ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings.

Comfortable navigating ERP systems for routings, BOMs, and data retrieval.
