Intervention Assistant--Social Studies, Worthington Kilbourne High School One full-time position to work the day shift, 7 hours per day on a 186 day calendar.
Responsible for assisting in an academic instructional intervention program at a school.
Job Duties: * Meets with teacher to identify students who need to complete work due to missing assignments, absences, testing needs, etc.
* Provide intervention activities for students identified as deficient or likely to have difficulty on district standardized tests or statewide tests * Communicates with teachers to share information on students * Tutors small groups of students and individual students on specific academic skills and learning concepts * Reviews with teacher what key concepts need to be reviewed with students * Administers examinations to students * Scores examination and other papers developed and provided through the intervention program * Attends individual parent-teacher conferences as requested * Keyboards student materials, classroom materials, examinations, attendance cards, and correspondence * Occasionally monitors a class during a brief period during the day when a teacher is required to leave * Documents information on students and gives to the teacher * Provides student instructional intervention information to other school staff Job Qualifications: * Proficiency of Google classroom and Microsoft office * Willingness to learn e-schools format * Demonstrated ability to communicate with and to relate well to students, staff, and parents * Ability to use technology to complete daily and assigned tasks appropriate for the position * Ability to follow written and oral instructions * Ability to contribute to the growth and development of students * Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others Salary range $23.41/hr to $29.72/hr
