Overview
Tecolote Research, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Schedule Analyst with 12-15 years of applicable experience, including 8-12 years supporting government or aerospace industry programs. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert in schedule development and management, with responsibility for coordinating technical schedules, supporting integrated program controls, mentoring junior personnel, and interfacing with NASA, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Provide expert-level support in the development, coordination, and maintenance of Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) and Integrated Management Plans (IMPs) for large and medium-scale programs.
Lead the implementation and management of integrated scheduling tools and provide technical guidance to project control personnel.
Support the integration of resource-loaded schedules within automated schedule management systems (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project).
Mentor junior schedulers and collaborate closely with engineers and project staff to ensure accurate schedule and resource planning.
Analyze and interpret budget and resource requirements to ensure alignment with cost and schedule objectives.
Assess and manage impacts due to project scope changes, schedule variances, or evolving resource requirements.
Apply a thorough understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles (EIA-748 standard) to support schedule and technical performance measurement.
Collaborate with NASA Centers, other federal agencies, industry, and academia on matters related to program/project scheduling, EVM, and integrated project control.
Utilize advanced tools and methodologies for probabilistic schedule risk assessments and schedule health diagnostics.
Support or lead schedule-related reporting and governance activities.
May have supervisory or management support responsibilities.
Skills Required
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Business Management, Economics, Math, Engineering, or Economics
12-15 years of relevant experience, including 8-12 years supporting government or aerospace programs.
Expertise in the use of commercial schedule management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
Strong knowledge of integrated scheduling, critical path method (CPM), and resource-constrained scheduling techniques.
In-depth experience with Earned Value Management (EIA-748) and schedule performance measurement.
Proficiency with probabilistic schedule risk analysis tools and methodologies.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and mentoring skills.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
Direct experience working with NASA programs or other federal space/aerospace initiatives.
Familiarity with the PPBE process and government program controls.
Leadership or supervisory experience in scheduling or project control teams.
Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, or the sciences.
