We are currently developing a new class of TAVR designed to mimic the performance of a healthy aortic valve.

With offices in Minneapolis, MN, US; Geneva, Switzerland; and Brisbane and Perth, Australia, we have a growing and inclusive team.

The Tissue Team Group Leader is a key leadership role within the Production team at Anteris Technologies.

This individual provides hands-on guidance, technical support, and day-to-day direction to a team of highly skilled medical device sewers responsible for assembling tissue-based transcatheter heart valves.

In addition to facilitating workflow and training, the Group Leader serves as a critical liaison between production staff and engineering, supporting continuous improvement, quality, and operational efficiency initiatives.

This position also acts as the backup to the Production Supervisor as needed.

Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Support * Communicate daily and weekly production schedules to members of the tissue processing team.

* Facilitate meetings to align priorities and relay updates as needed.

* Provide real-time direction and support to team members to ensure daily goals are met.

* Monitor, verify, and document production activities, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.

* Track team metrics and ensure adherence to procedures, training logs, and operational documentation.

* Provide performance feedback to the Production Supervisor and contribute to team member development.

Process & Quality Management * Partner with engineering and quality teams on process improvement initiatives, material flow optimization, and operational refinements.

* Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), manufacturing protocols (MPs), and quality standards.

* Identify and escalate production or quality issues promptly to the Production Supervisor and supporting functions.

* Actively participate in problem-solving and root cause analysis activities to drive sustainable improvements.

Training & Development * Lead training efforts for new and existing team members in tissue processing techniques and production processes.

* Serve as a technical resource to clarify procedures and share best practices.

* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team engagement in improvement efforts.

Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration * Serve as the designated backup to the Production Supervisor during absences.

* Influence and lead through change by providing steady guidance and adaptability in evolving production environments.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Planning) to align on production objectives and improvement projects.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or Certificate in a technical discipline preferred.

* Minimum 5+ years of experience in tissue processing or highly specialized medical device assembly.

* Demonstrated leadership ability in a production environment, including mentoring and directing team members.

* Strong understanding of manufacturing protocols (MPs) and quality standards in a regulated (FDA/ISO 13485) environment.

* Experience with continuous improvement (CI) methods; ability to lead small-scale improvement initiatives.

* Proficient in using tracking systems, logs, and documentation tools.

* Effective communicator with strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
