Fabrication Helper

Days: Monday – Friday

Hours: 8:00 am- 4:30 pm + OT as needed

Pay: $18-$20 DOE

Job Description:

Assist with machining operations using conventional lathes, ensuring accuracy and safe handling of materials.

Operate bandsaws to cut metal and other materials according to specified measurements.

Perform manual grinding, sanding, and deburring to smooth surfaces and remove imperfections.

Support senior fabricators and machinists in setting up equipment and tools.

Inspect and measure parts to ensure compliance with technical specifications.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and housekeeping standards.

Assist in material handling, staging, and movement throughout the shop floor.

Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or material shortages to the supervisor

Qualifications:

1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Hands-on experience with conventional lathes, bandsaws, grinding, and sanding tools.

Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings or instructions.

Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, tape measure).

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
