Job Summary:

The Trader will execute trades on behalf of TCB’s clients in accordance with their instructions and within established guidelines. The Trader will work closely with our sales team to ensure that all client orders are executed quickly and accurately. This position reports directly to the Head Trader.

Responsibilities:

Execute trades on behalf of TCB’s clients in accordance with their instructions and within established guidelines.

Work closely with sales team members to ensure that all client orders are executed quickly and accurately.

Monitor the status of each order until it has been completed.

Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding the securities markets and keep abreast of changing market conditions.

Be prepared to adjust trading strategies as needed based upon changes in the market or client instructions.

Assist in developing new products and services.

Ensure that all customer accounts are funded and margin requirements are met.

Review positions and P&L with clients as necessary.

Provide timely and accurate information to management and clients regarding market activity and events which may affect the client’s portfolio.

Communicate with brokers/dealers regarding trade execution and other issues related to the clearance and settlement of client trades.

Resolve any issues which may arise during the course of business including client complaints.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or other quantitative disciplines preferred.

Minimum of one year experience in equity trading or related field.

Knowledge of fixed income instruments, options, futures and swaps a plus.

Excellent computer skills required; advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) required.

Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Highly motivated individual who can think creatively and critically.

Client relationships

Mastery of both Order management and execution management systems

Facilitation of client orders through market making/capital commitment

Multi-task oriented

High capacity, ability to operate in fast paced environment

Mastery of trading algorithms

IPO and secondary trading capability

ATMs and stock buyback knowledge
