Uvalde Memorial Hospital seeks multiple Medical Technologists (Uvalde, TX). Work under supervision of Lab Director to perform complex lab tests on patient samples to provide accurate & timely diagnostic info to healthcare providers. Function in all areas of the clinical lab: blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology. Perform high-complexity testing, QC procedures & instrument checks. Process & review order log/resulting/scanning/faxing tests sent to Labcorp. Maintain & use various equipment in clinical lab, incl. blood cell analyzer, staining unit, diluters, & coagulation instruments.

Qualificiations

Bach. degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or related field. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by a recognized accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT, or AAB) + background check also req.
