The plant Quality Manager leads and manages all quality assurance and control processes within a manufacturing plant. Their primary goal is to ensure that the products manufactured meet internal and external quality standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. Requirements:

Responsibilities:

Quality Program Improvement and Management:

· Collaborate with Management, Operations and Warehousing to improve quality and food safety indices and financial results with innovative thinking and performance in budgeting and structuring for results as well as automation of testing.

· Coordinates, manages and monitors the performance of Blending and Laboratory departments including but not limited to developing and maintaining SOP’s for blending and lab; as well as oversee annual training and ensure proper documentation.

· Inform the Senior Director of manufacturing and CEO as well as the Director of Quality of any non-conformities, deviations or threats to maintenance of the MS program.

· Lead all company quality initiatives including customer specifications and requirements.

· Monitor, manage and improve the coordination and communication between functional departments.

· Manage, monitor and test the Pest control program.

Verification, Regulatory, and Deployment:

· Ensure compliance and record keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing and sampling activities are completed including but not limited to reviewing all records to ensure adherence to guidelines set forth by federal, state and local regulations that meet customer and company specifications.

· Verify daily operational forms, logs, testing, etc. to ensure that the policies and procedures comply to the MS program.

· Ensure operational compliance in good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and HACCP procedures.

Product & Process Improvement:

· Sustain a consistent vision of continuous improvement through participating and leading self-inspections, developing and implementing corrective actions, and initiating and facilitating other continuous food safety and quality program improvements.

Customer Relations:

· Collaborate with customers, and other stakeholders to leverage business relationships.

· Manage customer complaints, trending, investigations and improvements by tracking, analyzing, and leading initiatives for all quality and customer complaint issues that meet or exceed operational and quality metrics.

Leadership & Team Development:

· Motivate, direct, coach and develop a diverse, high performing team to meet established individual, departmental, and organizational goals by selecting, managing and developing self and employees to achieve full potential.

· Conducts interviews for new hires and promotions, provides final approval for job offers and completes disciplinary and termination reviews.

· Foster an environment that supports an engaged safety culture.

· Create, implement and monitor departmental and employee goals annually for the completion of annual performance evaluations.

· Responsible for completing the job responsibilities of the Regulatory Specialist when absent and is on the HACCP and Management teams to support food safety and quality.

· Other duties as assigned.
