Laser Operator- Swing Shift

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Swing Shift Laser Operator role in Eugene.

Key Responsibilities:

· Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce parts according to detailed specifications.

· Load and unload materials and parts onto the machine bed using proper tools and handling techniques.

· Monitor cutting operations, adjusting settings as needed to ensure precision, speed, and quality.

· Inspect finished products for dimensional accuracy and surface quality using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).

· Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine laser cutting requirements.

· Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment, including cleaning lenses, checking coolant levels, and replacing consumables.

· Troubleshoot equipment errors or material inconsistencies and notify supervisors of any issues.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures.

· Accurately record job data, material usage, and completed work in production logs or tracking systems.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in CNC or laser operation is a plus.

· Prior experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (e.g., Amada, Trumpf, Mazak) is strongly preferred.

· Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

· Comfortable lifting up to 50+ lbs and working on your feet for extended periods.

· Basic computer skills and familiarity with machine software interfaces.

· Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.

· Willingness to work swing shift hours, with flexibility for overtime when required.
