KeenLogic is seeking a Web Designer to support one of our government clients. The candidate will serve as a Web Designer on a high-profile internal communications platform, reporting to the Customer Experience Management Director within the Center for Enterprise Customer (CEC). In this role, the designer will support the re-development of an enterprise intranet by contributing HTML, CSS, visual content, and graphic design elements to enhance functionality and user experience.

The Web Designer will collaborate closely with product and content leads, the customer experience and marketing teams, intranet developers, a third-party intranet vendor, and internal service providers across the organization. The candidate may also contribute to other digital engagement and content initiatives managed by the CEC.

This role plays a key part in improving and standardizing internal customer service and digital communication platforms. Responsibilities include planning, prototyping, and delivering visually engaging, accessible, and user-friendly web content in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

This is a full-time onsite position offering Fortune 500-level health/dental/vision, PTO, 401k, and Life Insurance.

Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizen

Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant work experience in web design, front-end design, user experience design, information architecture, or 5 years of relevant work experience.

Proficient in HTML and CSS; Experience with standard industry CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).

Experience with large enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS) (e.g., Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, SharePoint).

Experience collecting and managing image files in a media manager or similar file repository.

Experience prototyping and mocking up concepts and layouts using a range of low-fi to high-fi tools.

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Teams and SharePoint.

Experience working on product development teams with developers, designers, stakeholders, and business owners.

Experience on projects utilizing management methodologies from waterfall to agile/scrum and project management software (e.g., Jira, ClickUp, MS Project)

Must be able to appropriately manage project documentation and ensure deadlines are met.

Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues and leaders.

Experience curating custom photographic or stock imagery in a holistic manner to support the look and feel of a website.

Excellent time and task management skills; Flexible and adaptable to new technologies, changing priorities and processes.

Ability to operate effectively in team environments or autonomously, both remotely and in-person.

Must be able to secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances as deemed appropriate by senior management.

Photography background or experience in creating custom image content for websites.

Job Duties

Participate on Agile development team for the continuous management and development of digital products (Intranet and other service portals).

Collaborate with project team on best ways to present information on specialized category and drill-down pages.

Create visually pleasing layouts for intuitive discovery of service content, news and events, general information, and other supporting site content.

Configure out of the box intranet platform widgets in order to create feature-rich landing pages.

Find, collect, collate, and manage photographic and other image content across the website.

Work with other creative professionals on image sourcing, searching image repositories, or photographing new images for the website.

Track and complete assignments using project management software (ClickUp).

Manage and complete projects on time, within budget, and within scope.

Directly support/participate in special limited term projects and initiatives as required.

Perform other official duties and special projects as assigned in support of CAO Service Design or Customer Experience initiatives.
