Description:
This position assists the Batch Plant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the 3D concrete printing batch plant. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in ensuring the consistent production of high-quality concrete mixes for 3D printing applications, while supporting the overall efficiency and safety of plant operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee concrete mix materials:
Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other construction loading raw concrete materials (sand, cement, lime, additives, etc.) safely and efficiently.
Accurately measure, weigh, and mix materials for the concrete mixer according to specifications.
Transport materials to and from storage areas and the mixing station.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Conduct quality control checks, including slump tests, air content tests, and temperature checks.
Record production data, including material usage, production times, and test results.
Schedule and coordinate production activities to meet project deadlines.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials, additives, and other consumables.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices related to concrete production and handling.
Conduct regular safety inspections and report any hazards.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate effectively with the Batch Plant Manager and other team members.
Communicate clearly and concisely with Pilot, Site Supervisor, Batch Plant Manager, and other stakeholders.
Assist in resolving production and operational issues.
Other Duties as Assigned:
Perform other duties as assigned by the Batch Plant Manager, Pilot, and Site Supervisor.Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework in construction, engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in concrete production or a related field.
Experience with construction materials and their properties.
Basic understanding of concrete mix design principles.
Previous experience operating forklifts, skid steers, or other construction loading equipment is preferred.
Skills:
Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications and instructions is helpful.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic mathematical and computer skills.

Physical Requirements:
