Job Description
Duties
- Perform structural calculations and analysis using engineering software
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop structural designs that meet project requirements
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for construction projects
- Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs or modifications
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Review and approve construction plans and drawings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
-Minimum 2 years experience in design of wood framed residential structures
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, EI Certification Required
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
-Ability to communicate via phone and email with clients, subcontractors, and inspectors
- Project engineering experience is a plus
