Machine Operator Assistant – Contract-to-Hire Role in Renton, WA with Competitive Pay and Growth Opportunities
Location: Renton, WA
Pay Rate: $24.30 per hour
Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Position Summary
We are hiring a Machine Operator Assistant to join a leading corrugated packaging manufacturer known for quality and innovation. This role is ideal for individuals who are safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and eager to grow in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Learn to operate converting equipment safely and efficiently
Follow established quality control procedures
Interpret and execute order specifications accurately
Rotate through various work centers as needed
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Maintain compliance with all company policies and safety standards
Support multiple areas within the converting plant
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ability to read and write in English
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment
Comfortable working around heavy machinery in a high-speed setting
Capable of performing physically demanding tasks with urgency
Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed
Willingness to work overtime when required

Prior manufacturing or physically demanding job experience

Work Environment
Large industrial facility with seasonal temperature variations
Exposure to high-volume machinery including corrugators, die cutters, and folder gluers
Four-day workweeks with occasional mandatory overtime

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30/hr.
