Who we are looking for:

The Controls Engineer, Coating & Bonding is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining control systems for the coating and bonding line. This role ensures that all control systems are optimized for efficiency, reliability, and safety, supporting the company's production goals.

What you get to do:

Control System Design and Development

Design and develop control systems and algorithms to meet the specific needs of the manufacturing line.

Program and configure PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and other control interfaces.

Conduct system integration, testing, and debugging to ensure functionality and reliability. System Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Perform regular maintenance checks on control systems and affiliated machinery.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems to minimize downtime.

Maintain and upgrade existing control systems to enhance efficiency and longevity. Process Optimization

Conduct system analysis to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.

Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure seamless integration of new processes. Compliance and Documentation

Ensure all control systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

Maintain accurate documentation of control system designs, configurations, and maintenance activities.

Prepare and present regular reports on control system performance to senior management. Training and Support

Provide training and technical support to maintenance staff and users on control systems.

Stay up to date with the latest technology trends in control engineering. What you bring to the team:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Advanced degrees or certifications in Controls Engineering or related areas are a plus. Experience

8+ years of experience in Controls Engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Proven experience in programming and configuring PLCs, SCADA, and other control systems. Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in control system software and tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Working Conditions and Environment:

This position is a combination of office work and regular engagement with the manufacturing plant floor operations.

Must have the ability to travel, both domestic and international (up to 10%). Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
