ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Scientist to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working with large, complex, and disparate data sets
Designing and implementing innovative ways to analyze and exploit the Sponsor’s data holdings
Researching and reporting on a wide variety of Sponsor inquiries
Proactively identifying areas for analysis or exploitation and raising inquiries to the Sponsor
Applying advanced analytical methodologies to solve difficult, non-routine problems and improve analytic processes
Developing custom searches
Participating in threat hunting and/or developing advanced, novel detection mechanisms to counter malicious actors
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience coding/scripting in Python
Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate analytic tools and methodologies in one or more of the following:
Applied mathematics (e.g., probability and statistics, formal modeling, computational social sciences)
Computer programming (e.g., programming languages, math/statistics packages, computer science, machine learning, scientific computing)
Ability to collect information and accurately visualize and represent it to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection
Knowledge of relational databases including SQL and large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop
Experience with statistical data analysis (e.g., linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling)
Background in computer network operations, particularly network defense and/or exploitation
Experience in signature development, threat hunting, and/or threat modeling
Clearance Requirements:
An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
Physical Requirements:
Use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under desks and in the server closet
