This position centers on driving performance, uptime, and client satisfaction through expert management of ongoing BAS service contracts, upgrades, retrofits, and system optimizations in operational facilities. You'll collaborate with internal teams, field technicians, and client stakeholders to ensure seamless service execution-from troubleshooting and repairs to system reprogramming and long-term service strategy planning.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of service and maintenance projects for BAS systems across healthcare, higher-ed, commercial, and industrial facilities
Manage recurring service schedules, system retrofits, emergency response coordination, and client-driven optimization requests
Conduct regular site assessments and service reviews to identify areas for efficiency gains or technology upgrades
Facilitate communication between service techs, software engineers, and clients to ensure quick issue resolution and system uptime
Plan and prioritize service tickets, assign resources, and monitor KPIs like response time and client satisfaction
Act as the primary point of contact for high-priority clients and service contracts
Track and manage service contract budgets, profitability, and KPIs
Evaluate change order opportunities and ensure additional scope items are captured and billed appropriately
Forecast labor hours, material usage, and subcontractor involvement for service efforts
Provide regular service reports and client-facing summaries of completed work and recommendations
Conduct internal performance reviews and training for service team members
Review service documentation and ensure accuracy of closeout reports, service logs, and preventative maintenance records
Utilize internal tools (MS Project, Procore, ServiceTitan, etc.) to manage service activities and generate insights
Requirements:
5+ years of BAS / HVAC Controls experience, including at least 2 years in a project or service management capacity
Proficiency with Niagara N4, Honeywell, Distech, and/or similar open BACnet-based platforms
Working knowledge of Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, and IP-based networking
Experience managing service or maintenance work (not just construction/installation)
Strong technical writing and client communication skills
Ability to lead both office-based coordination and field operations with minimal supervision
OSHA 10 or NFPA 70E certification (or willingness to obtain)
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or a related field preferred-experience can be substituted
