Procurement Specialist – Direct Hire

Location: Cudahy, WI

Schedule: 1st Shift Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000/year (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our growing team in Cudahy, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay, benefits, and the chance to work in a collaborative and dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will manage our supply base to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and compliance with contractual agreements. You will also play a key role in sourcing, negotiating, and implementing procurement strategies that support company goals and drive cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage supplier performance to ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD), quality, and contract compliance.

Initiate RFQs, RFIs, RFXs and issue corresponding orders to develop contracts as needed.

Own and maintain the Supplier Price List (SPL) to ensure pricing data is accurate and up to date.

Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the procurement process.

Source and onboard new vendors to meet operational and production requirements.

Negotiate contract terms, conditions, and delivery schedules to maximize value and reduce risk.

Ensure supplier onboarding documents such as NDAs and Codes of Conduct are completed and maintained.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with organizational goals.

Maintain supplier metrics in partnership with the Process Support Group.

Work closely with Engineering to resolve drawing discrepancies and communicate revisions to suppliers.

Generate requests for new part numbers in the ERP and drawing systems.

Partner with buyers across multiple sites to align sourcing efforts and share best practices.

Coordinate with the Finance team to resolve payment issues and establish vendor payment terms.

Communicate forecasts and production needs to suppliers regularly.

Travel to vendor locations as needed (approx. 10–20%).

Lead or support special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field.

2–5 years of progressive experience in supply chain or procurement.

Solid understanding of manufacturing industry practices and processes.

Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to travel as required (10–20%).
