We're seeking a ServiceNow Architect for an On-site role (4-5 days/wk) leading a strategic assessment and re-architecture initiative aimed at improving the end-to-end asset management process for network and infrastructure assets. The current environment is highly customized, limiting the organization's ability to leverage Out-of-the-Box (OOB) capabilities and align with ServiceNow's Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
The architect will evaluate the current system, identify key gaps, and propose a roadmap to restructure the platform with an emphasis on Asset Management, CMDB, CSDM alignment, and integrations with enterprise systems like PeopleSoft and Azure Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the assessment of the existing ServiceNow implementation, focusing on Asset Management and CMDB structure.
• Evaluate and re-architect the ServiceNow platform to align with CSDM best practices and future scalability.
• Provide a roadmap and actionable recommendations for leveraging OOB ServiceNow functionality to replace custom solutions.
• Work closely with Infrastructure and Operations teams to understand current asset lifecycle challenges.
• Collaborate on the Communication Service Data Model, including mapping and restructuring data relationships across the system.
• Design and recommend integration strategies between ServiceNow and platforms such as:
• PeopleSoft
• Azure Cloud
• SCCM, JAMF, and other discovery tools
• Third-party procurement systems like Coupa and SAP Ariba
• Lead workshops and stakeholder discussions to validate requirements and present architectural options.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and service modeling within the ServiceNow CMDB.
Requirements:
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including architecture and platform design.
• Proven expertise in ServiceNow Asset Management Software Modules and end-to-end lifecycle processes.
• Deep understanding of Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and its application in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with CMDB, ITSM modules (Incident, Change, Request), and ServiceNow Discovery.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with PeopleSoft, Azure, and third-party procurement systems.
• Demonstrated success in restructuring customized ServiceNow environments to leverage OOB capabilities.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical assessments and communicate complex architectural concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and ITIL practices.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure (especially Azure).
• Effective communicator with strong documentation and presentation skills.
Deliverables May Include:
• Current state architecture and gap analysis report
• Future state architectural design aligned with CSDM
• Integration architecture recommendations
• Roadmap for migration from customized to OOB solutions
• Stakeholder workshop facilitation and documentation
