As Tesla continues to vertically integrate our operations,Tesla's Cell Facilities Engineering teamis looking for a highly motivatedSr.Controls Engineer to work on a critical challenge facing the world's energy transition to sustainable energy. Sustaining, operating, and optimizing a first-of-a-kind batteryfacility.

As a Sr. Controls Engineer, you willwork closely with the design team, construction & commissioning team supportingprojects from concept through design, installation, integration, ramp up, and long-term operations, sustainability & operations. What You'll Do

Lead SCADA HMI architecture design including the integration PLCs, life safety systems, and building management systems

Lead the development of greenfield HMI and user interfaces include remote and local operation displays

Work closely with the process design and facilities operation teams to develop intuitive KPI metrics and visualizations for production, maintenance, engineering and management

Deploy, troubleshoot and commission local display hardware and remote access platforms

Develop plant-wide supervisory systemsto minimize unplanned downtime and centralize plant performance monitoring.

Available to travel for FAT and equipment installation and commissioning

What You'll Bring

4+ yearsas a control systems engineer working with BMS and Ignition SCADA systems

Additional experience working with additional PLC platforms: Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley, Omron

Experience working with modern communication protocols: Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP, OPC

Evidence of exceptional ability, including a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and demonstrated ability to leverage this understanding to solve challenging technical problems.

Demonstratedexperience in the execution ofcontrolsprojects from concept development through commissioning and ramp-up
