Azure Cloud Engineer, Mid
Key Role:
Manages, administers, supports and enhances cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Applies specific functional knowledge, working or general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance, may review or guide activities of more junior employees.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience deploying and maintaining Azure environments and resources
Experience in Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases
Experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform
Experience using Linux operating system and Bash scripting
Knowledge of Azure networking concepts, including virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups
Ability to work in an Agile, team-based environment using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
Ability to obtain DoD IAT Level II or Level III Certification within 60 days of hire
Additional Qualifications:
Experience developing software with Python, Go, or Java
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining software applications
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
Experience in Azure Active Directory (AAD)
Experience automating Azure processes using PowerShell or Azure CLI
Experience with software or systems architecture
Azure Engineering or Architecting Certification
DoD IAT Level II or Level III Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
