Southeastern Tool & Die, INC. is a family-owned, full-service metal fabrication shop with a varied customer base. We are growing and are recruiting for a CNC programmer to join our team!
Create CNC programs for all new products
Update CNC programs for all Engineering Changes
Ability to understand sheet metal layout and develop flat patterns for simple and complex parts
Improve CNC material utilization
Implement changes to improve scrap rate
Develop and implement ideas to improve management of filler parts
Assist production as needed in troubleshooting manufacturing issues
Ability to create and modify CAD drawings
Read, understand and comprehend basic blueprints and drawings
Ability and willingness to learn new software
Sense of urgency. This is a job tied closely to production, requiring quick implementation of new product designs and changes to existing designs
Strong problem solving skills. Ability to investigate an issue and determine best course of action
Performs with an intention to quality and continuous improvement
Excellent work ethic, ability to adapt, multi-task, and work within a group or solo
Have understanding of machinery and materials and be willing to adjust quickly to changes made to a plan when necessary
Must be well organized with the ability to be solution driven
Staying up to date with the latest tooling options and industry innovations
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience programming Turret Punch Presses, Fiber Lasers and CO2 Lasers (Preferred, NOT Required)
Experience with Topps Programing Software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and/or similar software (Preferred, NOT Required)
Computer skills including MS Office/Excel and the ability to learn company business systems
Pay:
$18.00 to $25.00 depending on schooling and experience
Hours:
Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
