Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking experienced Logistics Associate who will control the flow of material, as well as the storage and distribution of WIP and finished goods in the Logistics Department. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
Meet or exceed department productivity expectations
Set up and operate packaging lines and remain flexible regarding job assignments
Learn and follow all processes and work instructions that pertain to the packaging area including bin cleaning and station cleaning to ensure that we do not mix parts
Remove finished goods from the audit area and store in designated area
Make boxes as required, operate tow motor and stand-up lift truck, and possess lift truck license
Verify all customer requirements are met prior to shipment, checks labels, number of containers, and other information against the packing list
Place all outgoing shipments in the correct staging area and maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion
Will train and becomes familiar with IS09001/IATF16949 procedures relative to material handling, including, SBP-05 Packaging, Labeling and Shipping Process
Follow all safety rules, procedures and regulations
Understand our Environmental Policy, our significant environmental aspects, their contribution to our Environmental Management System and the implications of not conforming to the Environmental Management System
Understand our Quality Policy, our relevant quality objectives, their contribution to the effectiveness of our Quality Management System and the implications of not conforming to our Quality Management System
Perform other activities as requested
Job Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Must have prior experience working in a logistics department
Must have safety training including training in the importance of machine guarding and safety equipment
Knowledge of the lock out/tag out procedure is needed
Must have knowledge and application of plant and environmental safety concepts and support company's team concepts
Must have the ability to operate a tow motor and stand-up lift truck and have license
Must have proper lifting techniques
Must be able to work in a very fast-paced warehouse while paying attention to detail
Must be safety-conscious and maintain a clean and orderly work area
Must be able to follow all safety rules, procedures, and regulations
Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues
