If so St. John's Intake Specialist is right for you and we are seeking to fill the role within the NSP Social Service department located in Rockaway Park, Queens at our main site.
This is a Full-time, permanent, 40-hour per week role Mon-Fri w/ some on-call as needed
Education Requirement: Minimum HS diploma required, some college preferred; minimum of 1-year relevant work experience, preferably in congregate setting with at-risk youth preferred; Knowledge of child welfare is a plus.
* A Valid NYS Driver's License is also required for the incumbent
Brief Overview: · The Intake Coordinator is essential to the agency mission of placement and care to NYCs vulnerable, responsible for the oversight of the referral process from the Administration for Children’s Services in relation to youth placement at St. John's. Responsible for establishing processes and protocol around admissions to the agency while ensuring compliance with stakeholders, partners (internal/external), community resources and state overseers. Building partnerships and relationships is essential to the success of this role, requiring ability to navigate within the community/other resources related to placement. Assumes responsibility for youth/agency success throughout presentations, meetings, tracking, etc.
