Aegis Worldwide is hiring a Controls Engineer to support production and automation systems in a hands-on role. This position involves troubleshooting, programming, and improving plant equipment and systems. What You’ll Do:

Troubleshoot and program plant automation equipment

Design and program new and existing PLC controls

Travel to sister plants as needed to support automation projects

Help optimize production by improving cycle times, flow, and quality through programming

Support and program robots (especially Fanuc and ABB)

Assist with preventative maintenance planning for equipment

Train plant technicians and engineers on automation tools and systems

Work on electrical drawings and update schematics for plant equipment

Support new tech and systems that help improve production and reduce defects

Collaborate with teams on accurate cost quotes and planning

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (BSEE or BSME)

3–5 years of experience in PLC and robot programming and troubleshooting

1–3 years of experience with Siemens S7 is a plus

Experience with Fanuc and ABB robot systems

Strong knowledge of PLCs: Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, MicroLogix), ladder logic, I/O, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet

Familiar with HMI systems like PanelView and programming tools like RSLogix, RSView Studio

Understanding of AC/DC motors, drives (PowerFlex, Kinetix, Ultra3000)

Experience with vision systems (Cognex In-Sight a plus)

Valid driver's license for travel

Willingness to work beyond 40 hours/week when needed

Nice to Have:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong troubleshooting skills – electrical, mechanical, and controls

Ability to read and work from electrical prints and wiring diagrams

Team player mindset with a focus on safety, quality, and results
