Distribution Associate

Job Summary:

This associate will be crossed trained in our Operations and Distribution areas with a heavier focus on Operations. Starting pay is $24/hr up to $29/hr based on skills and experience! Weekly pay via direct deposit and bonuses throughout the year! First shift hours!

Duties/Responsibilities:

Operations:

Package OPC products and raw materials in drums, totes, storage tanks, and tank wagons.

Move materials in the yard utilizing Yard truck and Rail king.

Receive, inspect, and store hazardous materials according to safety regulations.

Handle chemical raw materials and finished goods.

Warehouse:

Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.

Maintain inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.

Ensure proper labeling and documentation of hazardous materials.

Assist in the loading and unloading of shipments from box trucks and shipping containers.

Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Both:

Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.

Work in elements year-round.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret instructions.

Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Physical stamina to handle raw materials and operate machinery.

Basic mechanical skills to operate and maintain equipment.

Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and safety protocols.

Proficiency in using warehouse management systems, scan guns and other warehouse tools.

Ability to operate forklifts, rail king, and scissor lifts and other warehouse equipment safely.

Good organizational, time management, and attention to detail.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to read labels and determine hazards.

NO CDL NECESSARY!

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a warehouse environment, preferably with hazardous materials.

Forklift certification is preferred.

Familiarity with production processes and machinery operation.

Driver's license

Physical Requirements:

Ability to maneuver drums of product safely and clean up spills utilizing a respirator and other protective clothing.

Ability to work in a packaging/warehousing environment.

Must be able to perform tasks that require physical activity, such as standing, walking, and lifting.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

Ability to climb stairs and ladders.

Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy machinery.

Ability to work in the elements year-round.
