Expanded Function Dental Assistant

Job Description

Looking for a professional, energetic expanded function dental assistant for our private general practice in Lexington, Ky. Needed Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures - class I to IV fillings, temporary crowns, coronal polishing, sealants, intra-oral scanning, denture, partial and implant procedures

Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment

Take digital radiographs using Dexis and Planmeca software

Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, provide patients with instructions for oral care, etc..

We utilize Dentrix software and Trios scanner- willing to train.

May also assist our hygienist at times

Qualifications:

Ability to prioritize and multitask

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Strong organizational skills

Spanish Speaking is a plus but not required
