Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. This role is essential to our operations, responsible for the efficient washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing, as well as inventory tracking. The ideal candidate will uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and quality to ensure all items are prepared for guest and operational use in a timely manner.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Sort and accurately count individual pieces of linen and towels, keeping an itemized log of all incoming and outgoing items.
Wash, dry, and fold blankets, rags, and robes according to proper fabric care instructions.
Clear the laundry chute daily before the end of each shift.
Inspect items for stains, damage, or excessive wear, and report concerns promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area always.
Monitor laundry supply inventory and report replenishment needs as they arise.
Follow established procedures for handling various fabric types.
Strictly adhere to safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols.
Assist with special requests, including guest laundry and bulk orders, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
At least 2 years of related experience is required.
Prior experience in laundry or housekeeping is preferred but not required.
Ability to operate commercial-grade laundry equipment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physically able to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs.
Capable of working independently and managing time effectively.
Basic knowledge of fabric care, detergent usage, and stain removal is a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently (and in a team).
Work Conditions & Physical Demands
Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals is expected.
Fast-paced environment that requires multitasking and meeting deadlines.
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a commercial setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipment.
Able to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projects.
Strong collaboration skills – works well across functional areas—excellent relationship-building skills; able to collaborate with various levels of the organization.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of Work & Travel
