Description
The Cultivation Lead will play a pivotal role in overseeing the growth and health of our cannabis plants. This role would be ideal for someone with a passion for plant care and a talent for leadership within a dynamic cultivation environment.
Job Responsibilities
Lead daily veg room operations, including watering, pruning, transplanting, training, and IPM (Integrated Pest Management).
Monitor plant health and growth metrics; identify and report abnormalities such as pests, deficiencies, or disease.
Execute cultivation plans and schedules as directed by the Cultivation Manager.
Ensure compliance with all company SOPs, safety protocols, and state regulatory requirements.
Train and mentor veg staff in proper horticultural practices and techniques.
Maintain accurate records, including plant counts, feeding logs, and environmental conditions.
Work closely with propagation and flower leads to ensure a seamless plant transition through growth phases.
Monitor and maintain environmental controls (lighting, humidity, temperature, CO levels) for optimal plant development.
Conduct inventory checks and report supply needs for nutrients, tools, and consumables.
Assist in data entry and documentation for compliance and performance tracking in Metrc
You're a great fit if you
2+ years of hands-on cannabis cultivation experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
Deep understanding of plant biology, veg stage growth patterns, and environmental needs.
Experience with commercial cultivation systems (e.g., automated irrigation, environmental controls).
Familiarity with compliance systems such as METRC is a strong plus.
Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Can bend, climb, squat, twist, kneel, and stand for at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.
