Planning Analyst

Ford Component Sales, LLC (FCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company aligned with the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD). We are a flexible sales organization that directs resources toward revenue opportunities identified by FCSD.

We are in search of a Planning Analyst that works closely with supply base to drive on time delivery of ordered material to ensure customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develops understanding of function for procurement of parts, manufacturing processes, and supply base development

Establishes and maintains positive long-term relationships with suppliers through regular communication of performance status, supplier meetings, and supplier visits

Obtains and maintains supplier delivery promise dates, confirmed ship dates, changed ship dates, and issues updates for open orders

Identifies and documents supplier delivery issues and codes for supplier performance reporting

Identifies issues and develops plans to improve and report On Time Delivery

Analyzes and monitors supplier deliveries and supplier delivery performance

Engages problem suppliers to drive and improve supplier delivery

Coordinates activities within the company to improve the working relationship with the customer and supply base

Performs supplier maintenance in required systems

Drives all supplier EDI implementations

Issues and follows up on supplier 8Ds and corrective actions

Obtains return goods authorizations (RMAs)

Handles QOS and purchasing metrics tracking and reporting

Designs, implements, and reviews reports that provide the necessary information to monitor customer requirements and supplier performance

Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain function

Other duties may be assigned as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
