Job Title:

System Administrator

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable System Administrator to oversee and lead our organization’s IT operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our technology environment. You will lead the design, implementation, and support of IT systems and services, manage user support, onboard new employees, oversee equipment procurement, and maintain our Microsoft Exchange Server environment.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision to support our growing technological needs and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to align technology with business objectives.

Oversee the IT budget, including procurement and vendor management.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation in IT services and support.

Provide Tier 2/3 support to end users, ensuring timely resolution of complex technical issues.

Oversee the help desk system, ensuring effective ticket management, reporting, and service level adherence.

Develop training materials and best practices to enhance user experience.

Lead the IT component of employee onboarding, including account setup, device deployment, and system access.

Ensure secure de-provisioning of accounts and devices for offboarding.

Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, inventory, maintenance, and disposal.

Standardize hardware and software to improve efficiency and security.

Oversee the administration, maintenance, and security of our Microsoft Exchange Server environment (on-premises or hybrid).

Manage mailboxes, distribution lists, email policies, and integrations with other systems.

Administer key systems, including Active Directory, network services, and backups.

Collaborate with security stakeholders to implement robust cybersecurity measures.

Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.

Serve as a liaison between IT and other departments to understand and support business needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Secret Clearance is required; must be a US Citizen

5+ years of experience in IT support and systems administration,

Extensive experience managing Microsoft Exchange Server environments

Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and general networking concepts.

Proven ability to manage IT help desk operations and oversee IT service delivery.

Experience managing IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Messaging Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or ITIL.

Experience with cloud-based services (e.g., Azure, Intune) and endpoint management tools.

Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
