Cleared Linux System Administrator

A Global Government Contracting Company is seeking a Cleared Linux System Administrator to join their team in Hanover/ Fort Meade, MD!

This candidate must have an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Poly!

Mid Level Linux Administrator: (target 4-9 years of experience)

Years experience: 4 years minimum with a bachelors degree in a technical field. 4 additional years of experience required if no degree.

Description: This position as a mid level Linux Administrator will provide candidates the chance to work on more traditional system administrator functions, such as patching, checking for vulnerabilities, providing feedback to security for vulnerabilities as well as non traditional system administrator function. This candidate will have the opportunity to work and help maintain a development environment a large customer division. As part of this development environment, candidate may also have the opportunity to gain exposure and support network equipment as well as storage solutions. Candidate will work alongside a senior Linux Administrator as a mentor to provide support and opportunities to learn as much as the candidate is able to. Candidate and their mentor will provide support as needed to a multitude of applications and efforts across multiple customer groups. Candidates will also:

Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology Systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages Linux operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
