This is an exciting opportunity to work on meaningful projects related to NYC's energy and sustainability goals.Responsibilities:
Develop and calibrate whole-building energy models using software such aseQuest, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, or IES-VE
Support energy code compliance (ASHRAE, IECC), LEED documentation, and NYCLocal Law 97carbon analysis
Analyze building system performance and identify energy-saving opportunities
Collaborate with energy auditors, engineers, and sustainability consultants
Prepare clear, concise reports and modeling summaries for clients and regulatory agencies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Building Science, or a related field
1–2 years of experiencein energy modeling, building performance analysis, or sustainability consulting
Familiarity with NYC energy codes, LEED, and Local Laws (LL97, LL87) is a plus
Experience with Excel, AutoCAD, and building system drawings
Strong written and verbal communication skills
EIT certification or pursuit of CEM/BEMP credential is a plus
