Overview:

As a Project Engineer I, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Production Team by coordinating the many stakeholders involved in residential construction. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll assist Site Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day operations, ensuring each project progresses with efficiency, clear communication, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Coordination:

· Collaborate with Site Managers and Superintendents to coordinate all phases of construction, ensuring seamless communication and smooth execution.

· Support job site setup, including installation of signage, safety equipment, and logistics planning.

· Manage project storage logistics and oversee the security camera system, including coordination with the Marketing Team on timelapse footage.

2. Documentation and Administration:

· Prepare and maintain field binders for Site Managers and Superintendents.

· Assist in drafting meeting agendas and recording meeting minutes for project-related discussions.

· Process change orders, purchase orders, and other administrative documentation as directed.

· Coordinate procurement of client-supplied items using Fohlio to ensure timely delivery.

· Set up new subcontractors in BuilderTrend and support onboarding efforts.

3. Scheduling and Communication:

· Coordinate with the Marketing Team on key project milestones, including scheduling Matterport scans at designated phases (pre-demo, post-radiant, pre-insulation, pre-handoff).

· Draft and distribute neighborhood notification letters ahead of project start dates.

· Assist with punch list tracking and warranty walk coordination to ensure thorough project closeout and client satisfaction.

4. Field Support:

· Ensure each job site is properly equipped with tools, signage, and safety gear.

· Provide ongoing on-site support to Site Managers and Superintendents.

· Help manage daily job site logistics and contribute to schedule adherence and problem-solving.

5. Change Management:

· Support the tracking and processing of change orders.

· Ensure all change documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and integrated into the construction schedule.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.

- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in residential construction or a related field.

- Skills:

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

· Effective written and verbal communication.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

· Familiarity with BuilderTrend and Fohlio preferred.

· Experience with PlanGrid and Bluebeam is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to work in a variety of on-site conditions, including during demolition, excavation, framing, and finish phases.

- Capable of safely navigating active job sites, including climbing ladders and stairs.

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
