This is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-senior level engineer to join a firm that values innovation, mentorship, and long-term career development.

About the Role

As a Structural Associate, you will play a key role in evaluating a wide range of commercial structures including office buildings, industrial facilities, high-rise multifamily, and hospitality assets. You'll be responsible for understanding all aspects of a project's scope, technical accuracy, and client requirements, while contributing to both fieldwork and technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for new and existing buildings.

Conduct property condition assessments and forensic evaluations of structural systems.

Identify root causes of structural issues and prepare repair documents and technical details.

Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and consultants to ensure project success.

Prepare formal technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.

Act as a technical lead on small to mid-sized projects.

Travel to client sites as needed (approximately 20-30%).

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.); S.E. license is a plus.

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in structural engineering, ideally in a consulting or design environment.

Strong understanding of building codes, seismic design, and lateral force-resisting systems.

Experience with seismic evaluations (ASCE 41), retrofit design, and parking garage assessments is highly desirable.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam; familiarity with Revit, BOX, and PlanGrid is a plus.

Excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills.

Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits & Culture

Employee-Owned Firm: Participate in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) that rewards long-term contribution and commitment.

100% Paid Health Insurance Premiums: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.

401(k) Match: Extremely generous match on your contributions.

Career Growth: Structured mentorship, continuing education, and clear advancement pathways into senior technical or leadership roles.
