Position: Safety Intern
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Pay Range: $19 - $22 per hour
Superior is looking for highly motivated and energetic students to participate in our internship program during the Fall 2025 term (September - December). When you join Superior, you join a national leader in electrical design and construction. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, we provide our interns with lunch-and-learns, leadership training, career prep, unique jobsite visits, and beyond.
Under the guidance of our Safety team, you'll gain exposure to all aspects of safety across our construction jobsites and enterprise accounts. You will also support jobsite safety initiatives to ensure our team members uphold proper protocols. This role is based on a jobsite in Columbus, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in daily walk through of safety audits on large construction sites and helps ensure compliance with government rules & regulations
Assist in the completion of audits or daily reports describing activities completed, critical conversations, and issues, etc
Help create, maintain, and update documentation and forms
Assist with training, and new Safety Professionals onboarding as needed
Collaborate with the safety team on training programs and initiatives to grow safety culture onsite
Create and distribute site specific Toolbox Talks
Help to organize PPE in multiple locations onsite
Assist with creating safety reports for the multiple projects Your Character Traits
You're a great communicator, a team player, and ready to work with colleagues across our engineering and field team.
You have a knack for solving problems.
You're organized, great at prioritization, and have a strong attention to detail.
You're able to exercise confidentiality and discretion when sensitive information. Education
Required: You must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Safety or related field
