Job Summary:
The Accounting Administrator aids the accounting department in maintaining financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Providing operational support to the accounting department, as needed
Code invoices, reconcile accounts, and assist with the closing of the monthly books.
Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering information from the general ledger system
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare standard general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and
reconciling accounts
Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries,
documents and reports
Assist in preparing 1099s
Post and print all management fees and transmit to payables for payment
Comply with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines as well as
complying with company policies and procedures
Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Preparing copies, letters, and reporting packets to both management and external parties
Additional duties as may be assigned by your supervisor
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of general financial accounting
Ability to correctly prepare basic tax reports
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field, preferred (but not required)
At least two years of related experience required.
Experience with the Yardi software system a plus

Compensation:
The approximate pay scale for this position is between $42,000 and $45,000 annually, based upon experience and qualifications.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at times.
