Functional Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Understanding business requirements and processes related to master scheduling and material requirements planning. This includes gathering requirements from end users, conducting workshops, and documenting requirements.
System Design and Configuration: Designing and configuring the Oracle EBS Master Scheduling and MRP modules to meet the identified business needs. This may involve setting up planning parameters, defining MRP names, and configuring profiles.
Best Practice Implementation: Providing expert advice on Oracle MRP best practices to optimize inventory levels and streamline operations.
Scenario Analysis: Simulating different business scenarios using Oracle's MRP system to prepare for various supply chain conditions and develop efficient strategies.
Demand Management: Crafting and managing demand schedules to accurately reflect expected demand and ensure efficient planning. This involves combining various demand sources to get a comprehensive view of supply chain needs.
Master Scheduling and MRP Planning:
Developing Master Production Schedules (MPS) to plan which products should be manufactured, by what date, and in what quantities.
Generating Material Requirements Plans (MRP) to determine the materials needed to meet the MPS and generate a comprehensive plan for procurement and production scheduling.
Generating reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory levels, production efficiency, and supply chain performance.
Finished Goods Inventory Management: Utilizing Oracle MRP tools and features to effectively manage finished goods inventory by recognizing reservations and accounting for on-hand inventory.
Production Planning: In some cases, working on production planning which involves grouping products into families and predicting manufacturing output based on sales predictions and company goals.
User Training and Support: Providing training and support to end-users on Oracle Planning and MRP functionalities, addressing queries, and resolving issues.
Technical Responsibilities:
Technical Design and Development: Designing technical solutions based on business requirements, which may involve developing RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions) components using tools like SQL, PL/SQL, Forms, and Reports.
Customization: Customizing Oracle EBS modules to fit organizational processes and workflows. This may include forms personalization and developing custom schema objects.
Data Analysis and Management: Handling vast amounts of data efficiently, using data analysis skills to support decision-making, and familiarity with data migration and transformation.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigating, researching, and resolving production issues and performing root cause analysis.
Technical Support: Providing technical support (L2/L3) for applications.
Integration and Interface Development: Designing and developing interfaces with other systems.
Performance Tuning: Analyzing and optimizing the performance of Oracle EBS Master Scheduling and MRP processes.
Collaboration and Documentation:
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Working closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, and other IT teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of Oracle EBS solutions.
Documentation: Developing and maintaining documentation for configurations, customizations, procedures, and test cases.
Project Management: Managing or assisting with projects, including scheduling tasks, managing user expectations, and meeting deadlines.
