We’re seeking a Georgia-based, licensed Structural Engineer (S.E.) to lead the structural design of concrete water and wastewater structures—treatment basins, filters, clarifiers, digesters, deep foundations, and specialty hydraulic structures. You’ll serve as the Structural Engineer of Record on multidisciplinary projects ranging from $ 500,000 to $100 million in water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations, where you’ll be involved from preliminary design and analysis through construction.Key Responsibilities
• Structural analysis, design, and detailing of reinforced concrete tanks, buildings, and ancillary masonry and steel structures
• Design calculations, plans, and specifications that meet International & Georgia Building Code, ACI 350/318, ASCE 7, AISC, and local permitting requirements
• Peer reviews and stamping of calculations/drawings; mentor EITs and junior P.E.s
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, geotechnical, and construction teams to drive constructible, cost-effective solutions
• Site inspections, condition assessments, and construction support (RFI responses, submittal reviews, field troubleshooting)
• Present design concepts to utility owners, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholdersMinimum Requirements
• Permanent Georgia residency (must reside in GA)
• Active S.E. license recognized by the Georgia Board of Professional Engineers
• 8+ years of structural design with a heavy emphasis on reinforced concrete (ACI 350).
• Proven proficiency with structural modeling software (IES Visual Analysis, ETABS, RISA, RAM, SAP2000, STAAD, or similar) and Revit/CAD workflows
• A valid driver's license is required.Preferred Extras
• Hands-on experience with water and wastewater treatment structures (aeration basins, sludge digesters, EQ basins, pump stations, filters, pipe galleries, etc.)
• Working knowledge of seismic and wind design for process buildings
• Familiarity with trenchless technologies, shoring, or deep excavationsSalary & Benefits
• Base salary: $120,000 – $140,000. The actual offer will be based on portfolio complexity and experience.
• W2 employment with benefits- flexible schedule, full-time remote office policy. Full-time employment is preferred. Part-time employment may be possible depending on circumstances.
