The Splunk Architect will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced CSfC dashboards to enhance CACI's Archon Secure solutions. This position involves serving as a product owner, focusing on creating and optimizing Splunk-based dashboards to provide actionable insights into security, performance, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate with a skilled technical team of solution engineers and developers to analyze requirements, design data models, and implement Splunk solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals and U.S. Government compliance standards.
More About the Role
The Splunk Architect will be responsible for conducting a thorough analysis of existing Archon Secure solutions to identify key metrics and data sources for dashboard development. This role involves designing and implementing Splunk dashboards that deliver real-time visibility into CSfC systems, enabling proactive monitoring and rapid response to security and operational events. The architect will create Splunk queries, visualizations, and alerts tailored to the needs of stakeholders, including IT operations teams, security analysts, and management.
The Splunk Architect will develop and maintain Splunk data models, ensuring efficient data ingestion, indexing, and search performance. This role requires expertise in Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) to craft complex queries and reports that support mission-critical use cases, such as monitoring mission communications kits for tactical warfighter operations. The architect will also automate dashboard updates and reporting processes to minimize manual intervention and ensure consistency.
The Splunk Architect will provide expert technical guidance and troubleshooting support to stakeholders, diagnosing and resolving Splunk-related issues, and offering strategic recommendations to optimize platform performance. This role involves designing scalable Splunk architectures that accommodate the organization's evolving needs while adhering to stringent U.S. Government security and compliance requirements.
The Splunk Architect will adopt a DevOps approach to collaborate with development and operations teams, streamlining the deployment and maintenance of Splunk solutions. This role requires strong project management skills to plan and coordinate dashboard development activities, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational objectives. The architect will be a proactive, self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple priorities and driving continuous improvement in Splunk capabilities.
You'll Bring These Qualifications
8-10 years of experience in designing and implementing Splunk solutions within a U.S. Government environment, with a focus on security and compliance.
Expertise in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud, including advanced knowledge of Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL), data models, and dashboard development. Deep understanding of CSfC frameworks and requirements, with experience integrating Splunk with secure communication systems.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and integration with Splunk.
Strong knowledge of data formats (XML, JSON, YAML) and experience parsing and transforming data for Splunk ingestion.
Experience with version control systems like Git for managing Splunk configurations and dashboards.
In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, with experience deploying Splunk in enterprise environments.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to articulate technical requirements and deliver precise assessments. DoD 8570 Compliance certification.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
Experience with Red Hat Ansible or HashiCorp Terraform for automating Splunk deployments.
Familiarity with Nautobot for network automation and inventory management. Knowledge of additional monitoring tools (e.g.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $98,500-$206,800
