The Enterprise Sourcing (ES) team serves as a strategic enabler for the entire organization, driving excellence in category management, supplier relationship management, and strategic sourcing. Collaborating closely with business and functional leaders across the global enterprise, the team ensures informed supplier selection and skillfully negotiates agreements that maximize value while safeguarding against risk.

We are seeking a seasoned Sourcing executive with extensive expertise and a proven track record in driving meaningful third party savings and transformative change in the efficiency and effectiveness of the Sourcing function of a global corporation. The ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership, innovation, and operational excellence to a complex, multifaceted transformation effort.

Key responsibilities and requirements include:

· Leadership in transformation: Proven success in leading a complex Sourcing transformation that delivers significant financial and non-financial value.

· Business partnership: Ability to establish and deepen partnerships with business leaders to co-develop effective category sourcing strategies that align with business goals.

· Supplier relationship management: Expertise in advancing collaboration and innovation with strategic suppliers to maximize mutual benefits.

· Operational efficiency: Skilled in streamlining processes, leveraging systems, and driving automation to drive efficiencies while also scaling capacity.

· Talent development: Demonstrated ability to attract, retain, and develop top talent while evolving team capabilities in line with advancements in systems and data.

Responsibilities of the Role:

Establish the organization’s strategic leadership and vision to realize objectives of cost optimization, value creation, supplier innovation, and strategic business integration

Establish bold cost saving targets and strategies to maximize the value of procurement while intelligently balancing risk, supplier innovation and business needs.

Establish standards and KPIs for operational excellence, across category management, business partnering, supplier relationship management, and sourcing, targeting a seamless and efficient end to end lifecycle.

Leverage external research, benchmarking, and involvement in professional networks as a means of strengthening capabilities via the adoption of sourcing and procurement profession best practices

Embed procurement as a strategic partner to the business (beyond transactional arm)

Develop meaningful relations through proactive outreach and action as a strategic and trusted partner. Drive alignment with business and finance leaders regarding the use of savings (i.e., re-investment or savings for P&L impact)

Co-develop category strategies with business and functional stakeholders that include opportunities to reduce spend through demand management, consolidate vendors for improved pricing and improve product and delivery innovation

Establish supplier segmentation and champion supplier relations beyond metrics with most strategic suppliers, driving innovation, quality, and risk reduction

Lead the continuous procurement transformation journey across operating model, organization optimization and digitization of the function.

Identify opportunities to streamline processes and advance systems, data and operational automation to deliver efficiencies, support guided buying and drive third party spend savings.

Identify ways to automate aspects of our operations to enable the team to scale capacity for Sourcing without additional staffing

Partner closely with the Procure-to-Pay organization to ensure seamless handoffs and compliance with enterprise buying processes from end-to-end

Ensure Sourcing policies, practices and procedures are in place to promote prudent risk taking, effective change management, good corporate governance. As part of that:

Monitor KPIs for entire Source-to-Pay process to measure efficiency, effectiveness and compliance to policies

Manage third party risks to ensure business continuity and protect brand reputation

Ensure Sourcing plans deliver on sustainability and diverse spend goals

Recruit and develop the right talent across the global organization, instilling a culture of collaboration, accountability and ownership. Provide clear expectations and meaningful feedback against goals. Evolve the skills of the team as Sourcing transforms.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

College degree

Experience leading enterprise sourcing for large multinational corporation – with specific experience creating category plans and Sourcing driven cost take-out in technology, professional services, and marketing categories

Experience leading transformation of Sourcing operations within Source to Contract, leveraging process improvements and technology/automation to enable the team to scale their Sourcing capacity without increasing staffing

15+ years experience in enterprise sourcing, with a particular focus on strategic category management, supplier relationship management, strategic and tactical sourcing and cost-take-out.

Experience leading strategic sourcing and category management teams of 75+ professionals for at least 10 years

Results-focused: sets specific and measurable goals for team and holds self/team accountable to delivery.

Strong negotiation skills. Represents company effectively in negotiations and delivers positive results/outcomes

Deep experience in category management including market insights, category strategy development, demand management levers and execution of category plans.

Strong collaboration skills. Proven success acting as a strategic partner to business, functional and finance stakeholders. Effective at aligning Sourcing team’s actions to business goals of enterprise.

Meaningful experience overseeing the successful installation and use of modern tech stack for enterprise sourcing organizations

Proven transformational experience focused on change management across people, process, and technology

Domestic and international experience essential

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience overseeing supplier risk management programs

Advanced interpersonal, networking and influence skills with internal and external relationships. Ability to influence up, down and across internal organization and suppliers, including interfacing with C-level roles.

Experience managing strategic supplier relationships to maximize value delivered to company

Highly effective leader of people, including creating positive experience for team members, coaching for performance and preparing team for succession

Preferred Hiring Requirements:

M.B.A.

Media and entertainment sourcing, including production, a plus but not essential

Active member of industry sourcing consortiums / best practice forumsThe hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $309,800-$415,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
