Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor will work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager. He/She will be responsible for all maintenance mechanic work order tracking, review and implementation. The Supervisor will also assist the Maintenance Manager with asset reliability, projects and safety protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Direct maintenance staff by leading, instructing, and assigning work assignments· Fosters a culture that does not tolerate equipment failures and seeks to understand and eliminate the causes using techniques such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

· Track daily maintenance assignments, goals and objectives

· Ensures standard reliability and maintenance work processes are followed. Implements and tracks maintenance KPIs

· Must be able to demonstrate strong technical problem-solving skills, critical thinking and proven project management experience with coordination of multiple projects simultaneously.

Provide a review of equipment downtime and overtime working to improve costs

Document corrective action on preventive maintenance performed.

Analyzes operational data and equipment performance history to deliver improvements in critical maintenance related metrics / KPIs related to asset reliability

Develops and leads the reliability process to continuously improve equipment up-time and reduce related maintenance cost.

Work with mechanics to ensure completion of work orders and PM’s in a timely manner

Schedule mechanics time to best utilize line availability and the ability of the mechanic to get the job completed

Develops, recommends and implements strategies for improving the reliability of the manufacturing processes

Develops and executes maintenance strategies to achieve plant availability of 90%+.

Periodically benchmarks current performance with internal and external sources to identify opportunities for improvement. Enforces Management of Change processesSupervisory Responsibilities: The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee Maintenance Mechanics.

Strong understanding of industrial, mechanical and electrical technologies.

Electrical knowledge

Ability to work with hands, mechanical aptitude and proficient use of tools

Ability to develop strategic partnerships across the company and with third party contractors to increase overall reliability.

Leadership skills in leading small to large groups

Ability to get ideas across to others both verbally and in written form

Safety conscious while keeping in mind time to complete work

High School diploma or equivalent

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent 2 year college or technical school recommended; or 2 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Proficient with CMMS and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PPPhysical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to grasp, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 50lbs and shared weight and shared weight up to 100lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. Occasional exposure to high humidity and hot and cold temperatures are possible. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
