Job Title: Class A CDL Driver
Job Description
CDL drivers are tasked with driving and delivering structural steel to customers located up to three hours away using a semi truck and flatbed trailer. This position ensures drivers are home each night without the need for overnight stays. Responsibilities include preparing and securing delivery loads, inspecting the daily vehicle inspection report, and following planned routes to destinations. Drivers are also accountable for adhering to all vehicle safety procedures. In addition to driving duties, candidates should expect to interact with customers while delivering loads, necessitating strong customer-facing skills.
Responsibilities
Drive and deliver structural steel to customers up to three hours away using a semi truck and flatbed trailer.
Ensure preparation and securement of delivery loads.
Inspect the daily vehicle inspection report.
Follow planned routes to destinations.
Adhere to all vehicle safety procedures.
Interact with customers during deliveries.
Ensure proper tying down of loads, especially large, heavy, and sharp metal items.Essential Skills
Active Class A CDL license.
Experience tying down loads.
Customer service skills.
Ability to track and log deliveries.
Ability to conduct safety checks on mechanical issues of the semi truck.Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ year of semi driving experience.
Experience with a flatbed trailer preferred, with 2 years being a plus.

Work Environment
Drivers will be seated in a semi cab for extended periods. The work schedule begins at 5:00 AM and continues until the day's deliveries are completed. The dress code is casual, allowing for jeans and a t-shirt.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
