JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1. Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO ) to
support university compliance with U.S. Department of Homeland Security
regulations for non-immigrant students in F-1 legal status. Includes
regulatory advising on benefits and requirements of the F-1 regulations,
maintaining SEVIS records, SEVP /DHS reporting and record keeping, and
issuing visa application documents (I-20's). 2. Manage dual enrollment
student applications including creation of an application portal,
collecting student application data, admitting and enrolling students,
and effectively collaborating with high schools and partners to ensure
accuracy of data. 3. Manage the office front desk for graduate student
walk-in appointments and phone calls. Including front line advising to
graduate F-1 students and other MU departments on OIE processes related
to maintaining their legal status. 4. Identify course offerings and
coordinate class schedules with each partner school, build course
selections, collect course registration information, coordinate with the
Office of the Registrar, verify and monitor student enrollment and
provide follow-up to ensure accurate registration and submitted grade
reports. 5. Advise appropriate program and courses offerings; maintain
dual enrollment office email account; advise students and high school
counselors through emails, phone calls, and onboarding each semester. 6.
Provides organization support to enrollment management division by
maintaining and tracking information, ensuring data integrity, and
compiling reports. Responsible for basic financial activities such as
p-card processing. 7. In conjunction with dual enrollment colleagues,
serve as an outreach liaison; coordinate and participate in dual
enrollment activities with high schools, districts and other partners to
ensure maximization of dual enrollment impact to students and community.
8. Assist with student advising. 9. Responsible for the supervision of
student employees which includes but is not limited to hiring, training,
disciplinary actions, ending the student's assignment, etc. 10.
Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed
by the supervisor. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree Minimum of 3 years of related experience. Must be a
U.S. citizen or permanent resident (required to be a DSO ) Ability to
understand and apply complex visa regulations. Ability to maintain
confidentiality of student records and information. Excellent
organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple
responsibilities and tasks simultaneously. Ability to focus on the
details of a project or task. Strong customer service skills with the
ability to problem solve. Appreciation and sensitivity to diverse
cultures and experiences. Knowledge of and willingness to support
