Position Overview
The Riverside Research Engineering and Support Solutions (ESS) directorate conducts Research and Development (R&D) of cyber-physical attacks against embedded systems. As a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of research engineers and scientists on a range of microelectronics security research projects. A minimum of a Secret security clearance is required to start. You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance and additional security access approvals required by the customer. This position is at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH. Remote work is not available for this position. Travel is not expected to exceed two to four times a year. Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities Directly support the development and test of embedded systems with minimal supervision
Support multiple research projects simultaneously
Manage timelines, product delivery, product quality for assigned project work
Document, present, and report RF test results and other findings to peer and senior technical audiences
Work with Project Manager and Principal Investigator to plan, lead, and execute technical resource application to project; manage and communicate deliverable status and timelines.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Requires a Secret Clearance to start and an upgrade to a Top Secret to stay on Program
Bachelor's degree in EE or related technical area with 5+ years relevant experience, a related Master's degree with 3+ years relevant experience, or a PhD in a related technical area
Willing to work in a secure US Government facility
Familiarity with FPGA and embedded hardware design, testing, and operations
Experience with SDRs design
Experience addressing signal integrity concerns on RF PCBs
Experience with AMD Xilinx tool chain
Experience with laboratory test equipment such as network analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and similar equipment
Experience with data analysis in MATLAB or Python
Programming in C/C++, Python, or other scripting languages
Excellent organizational, engineering, and communications skills
Able to work individually and as a lead member of a multi-discipline team
Experience leading a small technical team on research projects
Interest in solving open-ended research challenges
Desired Qualifications
Experience with frequency-hopping radios systems
Technical writing experience
Top Secret clearance
Experience working in a secure US Government facility is desired Global Comp
$91,000 - $169,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
